Save Money by Making Your Own Breakfast Cereal

They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Unfortunately, it’s the one the most people have the least time for. Let’s face it; unless it’s quick and easy, chances are most of us just plain don’t have time.
Breakfast cereal is a clear winner in the quick and easy department, but it’s usually fairly expensive. (Of course, I never pay full price; I’d have to be insane to shell out $5 or more a box!) On top of that, many cereals are super-sugary to boot.
One healthy, low-cost alternative it to make your own granola. Most of the ingredients can be found in the bulk food section, making this already-inexpensive treat even cheaper. It’s easy to make and keeps well, so you can make up large batches and have it on hand for weeks. Plus, when you bake it, your entire house will smell incredibly delicious!
